NewsMohamed Salah becomes Liverpool FC's fourth-highest goalscorer ever
Mohamed Salah has risen to fourth place on Liverpool’s list of all-time top goalscorers.
On his 373rd appearance for the club today, the Egypt international scored his 228th and 229th goals by netting a double at Tottenham Hotspur.
In doing so, Salah moved above the legendary Billy Liddell, who ended his Reds career with 228 strikes from 534 appearances between 1946 and 1960.
Salah’s remarkable haul since arriving on Merseyside in 2017 includes 170 Premier League goals, 44 in the Champions League, six FA Cup strikes, five in the Europa League, three in the League Cup and one Community Shield goal.
Just three men have now scored more times for Liverpool than the current No.11: Ian Rush (346), Roger Hunt (285) and Gordon Hodgson (241).
