Liverpool and Tottenham keeping tabs on Argentina star
Liverpool and Tottenham are reportedly keeping tabs on River Plate striker Lucas Alario.
That is according to Spanish publication Marca, who claim the Premier League pair also face competition from Inter Milan, Torino and Benfica for the 23-year-old's signature.
Alario signed for River Plate last year from Colon for around £1.7million and scored 11 goals in 26 appearances in his debut campaign at the club.
The Argentina international, who has won two caps, has carried on his goalscoring form this term with two to his name in three outings.
Alario is reportedly available for £15.2m due to a release clause in his contract, which he recently extended until 2020.
But Liverpool and Spurs could struggle in their pursuit after the striker admitted he is content at River Plate.
"I am very happy and now I want to continue giving my best for the team and for a club that has given me a very big opportunity," Alario said.
