Doak, meanwhile, set up two of Middlesbrough’s goals in a 5-1 victory over Luton Town in the Championship. The Scotland winger now has four goal involvements in 10 league appearances.
Elsewhere in the second tier, Nathaniel Phillips played the full game for Derby County in a 1-1 draw against Plymouth Argyle, while Lewis Koumas was a second-half substitute in Stoke City’s 1-1 draw with Millwall.
In the Austrian Bundesliga, Stefan Bajcetic was brought on just after the hour mark as Red Bull Salzburg were beaten 2-0 at Blau-Weiss Linz.
