NewsLoan watch: Ramsay makes Kilmarnock debut, Doak assists as seven Reds feature

The full-back, who completed a temporary switch to the Scottish Premiership side earlier this month, played the first half of their 3-2 defeat away at Hearts.

"We knew Calvin wasn't going to play 90 minutes and I just felt it was right to make the change rather than in the second half," Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes said post-match. "He did absolutely fine, bearing in mind he's not played a lot of football for a long time."

Also north of the border this weekend, Luca Stephenson's Dundee United were beaten 3-1 at home by Rangers in a contest between third and second.

Elsewhere, Ben Doak, Lewis Koumas, Owen Beck and Calum Scanlon were handed starting berths in the Championship.

Doak was involved in all of Middlesbrough's 2-1 defeat at Preston North End and provided the assist for teammate Delano Burgzorg's goal.

Koumas featured for more than an hour as Stoke City drew 0-0 with Oxford United, while Beck was introduced in the 75th minute for Blackburn Rovers in their 2-1 away defeat by Bristol City.

Scanlon, meanwhile, came off after 17 minutes of Millwall's win at Luton Town with a suspected hamstring injury.

Millwall boss Alex Neil said: "Calum's had to come off. I think it's a hamstring injury. We need to get it scanned and get the extent of it."

In League Two, Rhys Williams was in action for Morecambe when they were beaten 1-0 by Colchester United.
