NewsLoan watch: Owen Beck on scoresheet as eight Reds feature

Owen Beck was on the scoresheet to help Blackburn Rovers to victory, as eight Liverpool players featured for their loan clubs throughout the weekend.

The full-back netted in minute 41 for Rovers in their 2-0 win over Luton Town at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.

Beck scored with a composed side-foot finish to double the advantage for his team in Lancashire.

Elsewhere in the second tier, Ben Doak and Nathaniel Phillips featured in victories for Middlesbrough and Derby County over Millwall and Portsmouth respectively.

Lewis Koumas was involved in a 2-2 draw for Stoke City in their fixture with Cardiff City. Kaide Gordon, meanwhile, was a late substitute for Norwich City on Sunday afternoon in their 2-1 defeat by Burnley.

In League Two, Rhys Williams was involved for Morecambe as they lost to Cheltenham Town, while north of the border in Scotland, Luca Stephenson’s Dundee United were beaten 4-3 by Motherwell.

In the Austrian Bundesliga, Stefan Bajcetic stepped off the bench in Red Bull Salzburg’s 3-0 win over SK Austria Klagenfurt.
