NewsLoan watch: In-form Conor Bradley 'buzzing' to score again for Bolton

The Liverpool loanee, playing at right wing-back, netted a calm early finish at the University of Bolton Stadium – his sixth goal in 26 appearances for promotion-chasing Wanderers, for whom Owen Beck came on as a late substitute.

Bradley, who was also on the scoresheet in the 4-0 Papa Johns Trophy victory over Manchester United U21s in midweek, was duly voted Man of the Match by Bolton’s supporters.

“I thought first half we were really good, passed the ball well, created loads of chances and I was obviously buzzing to score at home again. I probably should have had two, but I’ll take the one and take the three points,” the Northern Ireland international told Wanderers’ official YouTube channel.

“It’s something the gaffer always says to me, to get in at that back post [and] try to get across defenders, and if I get a chance take it away and thankfully I did today.

“I didn’t think I’d get as many chances as I do. Six goals halfway through the season is good, but hopefully I can get more than six in the next half of the season and keep pushing on.”

Tyler Morton also enjoyed a fruitful afternoon, the midfielder playing the full 90 minutes as Blackburn Rovers moved up to third in the Championship courtesy of an impressive 2-0 win at Norwich City.

Elsewhere in England’s second tier, Rhys Williams’ Blackpool claimed a 1-1 draw away to Cardiff City.

In top-flight action in Scotland, Lucy Parry scored from the penalty spot as Hibernian Women defeated Dundee United Women 4-1, while Leighton Clarkson started Aberdeen’s 1-0 home loss to Celtic.
