Trent Alexander-Arnold
Alexander-Arnold had to go off during the first half of the Anfield victory over Aston Villa on November 9 due to injury.
Arne Slot on November 22: "Trent isn't training with us yet, but he is getting there so we expect him to be back with us soon."
Alisson Becker
The goalkeeper was forced off in the second half of Liverpool's Premier League win at Crystal Palace in early October.
Slot on November 22: "We are careful with everyone, especially when it comes to muscle injuries. But he is back in training with the goalkeeper coach. He is not training with the team yet, but that is expected to be done soon, and then let's wait and see where he is in terms of match fitness. But he is getting better and better, but not ready to play [on] Sunday."
Federico Chiesa
No timescale has been placed on the Italian's return to action as the Reds continue to build up his fitness.
Slot on November 22: "Still apart from the group, is coming back into the session maybe in one exercise today."
Harvey Elliott
The No.19 has been sidelined with a foot issue since the beginning of September but is now on the verge of a return to match action.
Slot on November 22: "Harvey is training with us again so that's the positive thing, he has been out for many weeks but he is on the training ground again with the team. So, that's a positive thing for him.
"He is training with us again but that is different than being on the top of your game immediately again. So we have to give him time for this as well, but I am very fortunate that he is back, especially with the amount of games coming up in the upcoming two, three or four months."
Diogo Jota
The forward suffered an injury in the win over Chelsea on October 20.
Slot on November 22: "Jota is still apart from the group."
On timeframes for Alexander-Arnold, Alisson and Jota, and if they could face either Real Madrid or Manchester City, the head coach added on November 22: "That is something we have to wait and see because I just said that the last few days of a recovery are always the ones that are most tricky.
"Because then they have to go from isolated training sessions towards the group training session – and that step is always the most difficult one.
"So, for me it is difficult to judge now and to tell you now if it is going to be one, two or three days or a bit longer. The only thing I can say is that with Alisson and with Jota, I don't expect them to be available for that game. With Trent, it's going to be in between."
