MatchLiverpool v Wolves: FA Cup team news
The new signing from PSV Eindhoven trained with the Reds this week and is in contention to notch his debut in the 8pm GMT kick off at Anfield.
Jürgen Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “Yes, he is in contention. He will be involved in the squad, of course. How exactly we will have to decide in the next few hours, but that's fine.
"First impressions of him are brilliant. With all these things, injured strikers and stuff like this, then you see a guy who is obviously a natural footballer on the pitch and knows where the goal is, it is a lift for everybody.
"So, that's cool and somehow he will be involved, definitely."
Liverpool will, however, be without the services of Virgil van Dijk due to a hamstring injury.
The Netherlands captain was substituted at half-time during the defeat at Brentford on Monday with the issue and is facing a spell on the sidelines.
Klopp added: "It's not a short-term and I had longer-term injuries as well in my career as a manager. So, it's somewhere in between.
"He will be out for a few weeks, definitely."
Elsewhere, Jordan Henderson will return after sitting out to the trip to Brentford due to concussion.
Alisson Becker is also due to start in goal, with Klopp confirming Liverpool’s intention to field ‘the best possible line-up’ for the Wolves tie.
“It was always Alisson,” he said, when asked which goalkeeper would be selected for FA Cup fixtures.
“Last year, I forgot the exact reason, Caoimhin played one game – I think Ali only came back the day before the game. It is clear we have Caoimhin, [but] it’s Alisson.”
On potential team selection, Klopp added: “It doesn’t change. What only changes is the amount of games you have around, so if you play Wednesday - Saturday - Tuesday or whatever, these kind of things, then you have to think about it. In our case, we played Monday last time and now Saturday and then again Saturday, so no it was always clear we will line up as good and strong and experienced as we can.
“We actually always did, but it just looked sometimes a bit different, but always the best possible line-up for the specific game. With Monday - Saturday, there will not be a rotation because of the competition or whatever."
Wolves will need to assess the condition of Daniel Podence, who came off at half-time in their midweek draw at Aston Villa, while Pedro Neto, Sasa Kalajdzic and Boubacar Traore are set to remain out.
Head coach Julen Lopetegiu told reporters: "We know that Liverpool have had two days more than us to prepare the match and to be rested, and we also have one other match in three days in the Carabao Cup.
“But we have to assess this situation to be able to do a good match against a fantastic team tomorrow, for me, one of the best teams in the world."
