MatchLiverpool v Manchester City: Team news
Konate was taken off early in the second half of the Reds' 5-1 Europa League victory over Sparta Prague on Thursday night, and was undergoing a scan ahead of City's visit.
Jürgen Klopp reported no other new concerns when he previewed the contest with Pep Guardiola's side, which is a 3.45pm GMT kick-off.
"Yeah, fresh, Joe [Gomez] is fine - Ibou, I don't know," Klopp told reporters on Friday.
"Ibou was rather positive last night [Thursday], he thought he made the right decision in the right moment saying it's better I go [off]. But how we know, that doesn't mean a lot unfortunately.
"He will get scanned, definitely, [but] so far I don't have the results of that. All the others are fine."
Asked about Mohamed Salah specifically following his return as a substitute in Prague, the manager added: "Mo, there is nothing. He is fine."
Elsewhere, Liverpool's list of absentees includes Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara.
City boss Guardiola, meanwhile, was unsure whether he would be able to call on any returning players for the top-of-the-table clash at Anfield.
Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish were sidelined due to injury for their Champions League fixture against FC Copenhagen in midweek, while Matheus Nunes was substituted in that match as a result of a finger injury.
Grealish is expected to miss out, though Guardiola was unable to clarify any further details on the rest of his squad during his press briefing.
"We have a day off today [Friday] - tomorrow we are training, and we will see how they feel," said Guardiola.
"We played three days after [the Manchester derby] and we have qualified for the Champions League. Yesterday morning we started to think about Liverpool."
