Endo returned to the AXA Training Centre this week after his and Japan’s participation at the AFC Asian Cup ended at the quarter-final stage last Saturday.
The midfielder is therefore in contention to feature in the 3pm GMT kick-off at Anfield, though Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Joel Matip, Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai remain sidelined through injury.
Kostas Tsimikas has been involved in training as he continues his recovery from a broken collarbone.
Having returned to the pitch for the Reds as a substitute in the defeat at Arsenal last time out, Thiago Alcantara has picked up a muscle issue and is being assessed.
“We don’t know the extent yet. We have to wait there a little bit, but it’s not cool, of course,” Klopp told reporters of Thiago at Friday’s pre-match press conference.
“It was really not good news for him, for us, for everybody. On top of losing the game already and having that is not good.
“Yes [I expect him to play again this season], but we didn’t really think about that, in the moment we just treat the injury and get a full assessment done and knowing exactly where it came from. It’s not the intensity and stuff like this, so there are different things.
“It’s just the normal procedure and it would not be a big story if he wouldn’t have been out for that long a time. That’s how it is. It’s not a big, big injury, definitely not, but it’s obviously something nobody needed.”
Conor Bradley will not be involved this weekend following the passing of his father, and Ibrahima Konate is unavailable for Liverpool as he serves a one-match suspension following his sending-off at Arsenal last weekend for two yellow cards.
Klopp added: “We have a few problems and have to wait.
“We are fighting with a little bit of a flu thing in the squad so we have to see who is in the end available, so that’s all not cool. But in the end we will have 11 players and we will go for it.”
Burnley boss Vincent Kompany, meanwhile, is hopeful that Hannes Delcroix and Charlie Taylor will be available at Anfield.
He told the media on Thursday: “I’m quite positive on Delcroix and Taylor, we’ll see if the final training session goes to plan. Hopefully it’s positive news but we’ll see.”
Jordan Beyer has not featured since late December due to injury, while Luca Koleosho and Nathan Redmond are long-term absentees for the Clarets.
