MatchLiverpool v Aston Villa: Team news
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is available for selection against Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.
The No.17 has returned to full training in recent days having missed the last two matchday squads, handing Jürgen Klopp's outfit a boost ahead of Sunday's 2pm BST kick-off.
Two Reds, though, will be absent from the Anfield clash through injury, with Ibrahima Konate and Thiago Alcantara remaining sidelined.
Captain Virgil van Dijk must also sit out the contest due to suspension as a result of his dismissal in last weekend's 2-1 victory over Newcastle United.
Konate was missing from the St. James' Park clash due to a muscle complaint, while Thiago has suffered a recent setback in his ongoing rehab, with the midfielder yet to make an appearance this term.
Issuing an update on Friday, Klopp said: "No, Ibou will not be ready for the game.
"Curtis is back in training fully. Thiago not. Thiago had a little setback. [He] started training with the team and then had a little setback, so we have to slow down there a little bit.
"It's not cool for him, it's not cool for us but it's how it is. Thiago will use the international break for that then obviously to be up to speed, I'm pretty sure that should be hopefully enough for him then.
"All the rest, until now, are available."
New signing Ryan Gravenberch is not eligible to feature with his transfer from Bayern Munich having been completed after the Premier League's registration deadline.
Gravenberch is set to come into contention for Liverpool's visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers after the international break.
Villa, meanwhile, are hopeful Emiliano Martinez will be fit to make the trip to L4. The goalkeeper will be assessed ahead of the fixture having missed the last two games due to a calf problem.
"He trained this morning," said head coach Unai Emery on Friday. "Tomorrow is the last training, which will be important if he is going to be available or not. Hopefully, yes."
Alex Moreno, Jacob Ramsey, Bertrand Traore and Tim Iroegbunam all remain out alongside long-term absentee Tyrone Mings.
