AcademyLiverpool U18s win 4-1 away at Reading in friendly
Jayden Danns scored twice as Liverpool U18s won 4-1 at Reading in a friendly encounter on Saturday morning.
Danns has seven goals already this season, with six of them at U18 level and a first for the U21s coming against AS Monaco in the Premier League International Cup on Wednesday night.
Cody Pennington and Joe Bradshaw also netted for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's side.
Reflecting on the win, Bridge-Wilkinson told Liverpoolfc.com: "Reading are a good team and it was a very useful exercise for us.
"We played quite well at times and started the game really well, going 2-0 up quite quickly. We changed the team around a bit and a lot of players got some valuable minutes."
The U18s are back in competitive action when they host Sunderland in U18 Premier League North next Saturday. That game will be shown live on LFCTV GO, with kick-off 1pm BST.
