Liverpool have reportedly made steps towards signing Lille centre-back Leny Yoro.

The Reds have been linked with a host of names but are yet to make any new additions to their squad as Arne Slot takes the reins. Though there is plenty of time for that to change, one of the areas the club are expected to strengthen is defence following the departure of Joel Matip.

Yoro, 18, has become one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe and Liverpool have monitored his development for some time. He has made a huge impact for the French side since being handed his debut as a 16-year-old, two years ago.
