Media watchLiverpool receive £42m transfer 'green light' to finally complete first Arne Slot signing
Though the current trading period has been open for three weeks, the Reds are yet to bring any new players into their squad despite a plethora of links to potential additions.
Anthony Gordon has been one name of strong interest with Newcastle even making an extraordinary approach to Liverpool. Johan Bakayoko and Nico Williams are other attackers to be linked with moves to Anfield, though both look set to remain at PSV and Athletic Club, respectively.
In defence, Riccardo Calafiori and Leny Yoro are wanted by Liverpool but they look set for significant competition from elsewhere to acquire either signature. Real Madrid remains as Yoro's favoured destination while Arsenal are advancing in talks with Bologna after agreeing personal terms for Calafiori.
Despite last summer's midfield rebuild, Slot has been looking at additions for his engine room with Atalanta duo Teun Koopmeiners and Ederson mooted as options. However, Juventus are pushing to sign Koopmeiners which could impact Liverpool, but it had already been made clear by Ederson himself, that he was a more intriguing option for Slot.
