AnnouncementLiverpool FC's international reach grows with new official retail partnership in Indonesia
The Reds will be working with PT Kanmo Weston Retailindo, a joint venture between existing Singapore retail partner Weston Corporation and Indonesian retail business Kanmo Group.
Working together as an official retail partner, both companies will leverage each other's expertise – Weston Corporation's extensive experience as a football specialist, and Kanmo Group's expertise in retail management – across a diverse array of notable lifestyle brands in Indonesia.
Starting the partnership with distribution rights for online retail of LFC's official merchandise, this partnership will soon grow to include brick-and-mortar stores across Indonesia. Part of the exciting plans for the region include a first official standalone LFC store in Pondok Indah Mall, Jakarta, coming this summer.
Fans will soon have direct access to official Liverpool FC merchandise in Indonesia, including the new 2024-25 Nike home kit, and unique merchandise made just for that market.
Mike Cox, senior vice president of merchandising at Liverpool FC, said: "We're extremely pleased to be announcing our exciting new partnership in Indonesia.
"We've worked with Weston Corporation for almost five years now and it's great to have them as part of this move into this new and emerging market. Adding Kanmo Group to the mix means we will have that important local knowledge to help shape our plans in the region.
"Football is extremely popular in Indonesia and it's great to bring our LFC brand to the supporters so they can feel a part of the club.
"This latest partnership in Asia adds to our ambitious plans to grow our international presence in key markets and we're really excited to open our first standalone store very soon."
Rajbir Chopra, sales director, Weston Corporation, added: "This strategic move not only amplifies our commitment to delivering exceptional sports retail experiences but also strengthens our footprint in the Southeast Asian market.
"We all know the size of the market in Indonesia and the fanbase here. Fans are craving direct access to official Liverpool FC merchandise."
Hitesh Bharwani, managing director and co-founder of Kanmo Group, said: "We're truly excited about the opportunity to bring the iconic Liverpool FC brand closer to our passionate Indonesian fans.
"This partnership not only signifies a significant milestone for Kanmo Group but also marks the beginning of a dynamic journey ahead. Together with Weston Corporation, we're committed to elevating the retail landscape in Indonesia and delivering unparalleled access to authentic merchandise and immersive fan experiences."
This follows recent news of LFC's first retail partnership in South Korea with Over the Pitch and official retail partnership with All Star Partners in China last year.
