NewsLFC Foundation logo to be proudly displayed on LFC Women shirts
The logo will feature on the back of the home, away and third shirts for all games played for the rest of this season and will be worn for the first time during the Barclays Women's Super League clash with Arsenal Women at Prenton Park on Sunday (4.30pm GMT).
This weekend's fixture is dedicated to the great work of LFC Foundation, putting a spotlight on the work that it does across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
This will include pre-match activity, matchday programme content, and the attendance of local school children who benefit from the positive actions of LFC Foundation. The children will be flag wavers ahead of kick-off and will also take part in a half-time penalty shootout.
The news of the collaboration between the women’s team and LFC Foundation comes on the same day that Missy Bo Kearns was named an official ambassador for the foundation.
This opportunity will help to raise more awareness of the work of LFC Foundation and supporters can purchase the logo for just £5 when buying a shirt through the online store and the LFC Store app, with funds raised going towards the foundation's life-changing work.
Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, said: "We are delighted to have the logo on the back of the women's team's shirts for the remainder of the season. We are proud to work closely with the women's team and have had many of the players out in the community already this season.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for us to increase awareness of the work we do, and we are pleased to now be able to proudly display our logo on both the women's team's shirts as well as the men's shirts for European fixtures as we have done so far this season."
