AnfieldKey information for fans attending home matches
Easing of COVID-19 restrictions
As COVID-19 restrictions ease, it is vital supporters continue to do all they can to minimise the risk of passing on COVID-19. There are some simple ways that you can help keep each other safe on a matchday:
- Be responsible and do not travel if you have COVID-19 symptoms
- Wear face coverings in indoor and crowded areas, including concourses
- Continue to regularly wash your hands
- If possible, take a COVID-19 test on a matchday to check there is no risk of passing on the virus
- The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated
Liverpool FC continues to urge fans to follow public health guidance to keep each other safe on a matchday, including wearing face coverings when on concourses, indoors and in crowded areas.
Thank you for all your support in following these measures and helping keep your fellow fans safe.
How do I use my NFC pass?
Anfield now operates digital entry using NFC tickets. This means that all supporters in attendance at a fixture will use NFC tickets unless they have requested a photo ID card to access the stadium. There will be no Print@Home or paper tickets.
Supporters are reminded to download their digital ticket on to their NFC pass to their smartphone before arriving at Anfield. A video with full guidance can be viewed below.
The ticket office will be open on matchdays for enquiries. There will also be a number of NFC help desks around the stadium ahead of kick-off to give quick and easy support with any NFC pass issues.
Can I bring a bag to the stadium?
We operate a no bag policy at the stadium and there is no bag storage facility. The only exceptions are:
- Small A5 or smaller bags carrying hygiene products
- Small A5 or smaller bags carrying medicines
- Club shop bags carrying purchases from the LFC retail store
Those bags permitted will be subjected to a bag search on entry point.
Please report anything suspicious while in and around Anfield to your nearest steward or police officer.
What time should supporters arrive?
Supporters are encouraged to arrive at least 90 minutes before kick-off to avoid queues and allow for security checks and search procedures. Queues may be likely the closer to kick-off you arrive. Turnstiles for general admission will open two hours prior to kick-off and three hours before for hospitality ticket holders.
How do I access the Anfield Road Stand?
Anfield Road is no longer a through road - please check your ticket and your route for access point. This may change from match to match.
For the Champions League fixture against Villarreal on Wednesday April 27 (kick-off at 8pm BST):
- Home fans entering via turnstiles L and M will approach Anfield Rd from the direction of Arkles Lane as there is no access from the direction of 97 Avenue. At the end of the game when leaving the stadium, they will turn right on leaving the stadium.
- Home fans entering via Turnstiles Q will approach Anfield Rd from the direction of 97 Avenue as there is no access from the direction of Arkles Lane. At the end of the game when leaving the stadium, they will turn left on leaving the stadium.
- Away fans entering turnstiles N, O and P will approach Anfield Rd from the direction of 97 Avenue as there is no access from the direction of Arkles Lane. At the end of the game when leaving the stadium, they will turn left on leaving the stadium.
Our stewards will be on hand to direct fans to the appropriate route.
What’s the best way to get to Anfield?
Please plan your journey to and from the stadium in advance to avoid delays and view the updated travel map and route planner here.
Fans are also reminded that Anfield is home to many people, so we ask that you respect residents by leaving quietly and taking any litter home with you. There is also a residents parking scheme in operation. Please do not park on residential streets as parking enforcement will be in operation during matchdays - any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.
Where can I donate to Fans Supporting Foodbanks?
The Fans Supporting Foodbanks collection points have been changed to Skerries Road and The Park pub.
Will there be food and drink on offer?
Food and drink will be served in the stadium. However, there will be no food containers outside.
The Kop Bar at Anfield will be open three hours prior to kick-off. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis. Capacity is capped at 700.
