GuideKey dates for 2023-24 Europa League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup
Europa League
After finishing fifth in the Premier League last season, Liverpool will enter the group stage of the Europa League.
The Reds last participated in the competition in 2015-16 and though they have never won it in its current guise, they were three-time winners of the UEFA Cup, a previous incarnation of the tournament.
Jürgen Klopp’s side will discover their group-stage opponents when the draw is made on September 1.
They will then play matches on the following dates: September 21, October 5, October 26, November 9, November 30 and December 14.
Liverpool will hope to top their group so they can advance immediately to the round of 16 without the need for a play-off if finishing second.
The knockout phase gets under way on February 15 for the play-offs and March 7 for the last 16, with the quarter-finals scheduled for mid-April and the semi-finals in early May, leading up to the final on May 22 at Dublin Arena in the Republic of Ireland.
Carabao Cup
With nine previous wins in the competition, Liverpool are the most successful club in the history of the League Cup.
The Reds will begin their quest for a 10th triumph in round three of the tournament, which is due to be held in the week commencing September 25.
Round four follows in the week beginning October 30, ahead of the quarter-finals in the week of December 18.
The two-legged semi-finals will take place in the weeks commencing January 8 and January 22.
The final, which Liverpool will aim to reach for the third time under Klopp, has been confirmed to take place at Wembley on February 25.
Emirates FA Cup
Liverpool were Emirates FA Cup winners in 2022 and will be looking to add to their tally of eight triumphs in the competition.
The Reds will begin that attempt in the third round, which is due to take place on the weekend of January 6. If Klopp’s men advance, the fourth round is pencilled in for January 27.
They will hope to progress on to the midweek fifth round (February 28), quarter-finals (March 16) and semi-finals (April 20).
The final, which will be held at Wembley once more, is set to be played on May 25.
