Liverpool FC Women can confirm Katie Stengel has joined NJ/NY Gotham FC on loan.
The 31-year-old American will return to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) during the break in the Barclays Women’s Super League season, with the loan concluding on September 3.
Stengel made 27 appearances for the Reds in 2022-23, scoring 10 goals, and will provide cover for Gotham players away at the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Florida-born striker previously played for several clubs in the NWSL – including Washington Spirit, Boston Breakers and Utah Royals.
Pending international clearance, she will be available for Gotham’s clash with Portland Thorns on Sunday.
