NewsJürgen Klopp nominated for UEFA Men's Coach of the Year award
Liverpool’s manager is included in the final three-man shortlist for the accolade alongside Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid) and Pep Guardiola (Manchester City).
Klopp led the Reds to Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup glory during an extraordinary season in which his side also reached the Champions League final and finished second in the Premier League.
An initial group of six coaches were recognised by UEFA’s technical study panel, with Klopp, Ancelotti and Guardiola then progressing via a poll of the clubs involved in the group stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League and journalists.
The winner of the Men’s Coach of the Year prize will be announced at the draw for the group stage of the 2022-23 Champions League in Istanbul on August 25.
