ClubJose Enrique visits Dubai to celebrate new official LFC store
The concept store in Mirdif City Centre Mall has opened in conjunction with partner Seventy8 Sports, following the launch of the Reds’ first official store in Dubai in The Dubai Mall in November 2019 and the second in Ibn Battuta Mall.
Hundreds of Reds fans in Dubai were able to meet former Liverpool left-back Enrique during a special signing and photograph session.
The store offers fans access to the full range of replica kits, as well as authentic Liverpool FC merchandise, apparel and fashion accessories.
During his visit, Enrique also met with invited members of Dubai Reds, the official LFC supporters club in Dubai, inside the official store located in The Dubai Mall. Here, members were able to capture photographs with the ‘This is Anfield’ sign.
“The level of support for Liverpool FC around the world is well known, and the passion for the Reds can definitely be felt here in Dubai and the UAE,” said Enrique.
“To be a part of bringing official Liverpool FC stores to our fans in the region and bring our worldwide family closer to Anfield is very special.”
Enrique met with one fan on the day who works at the retail store, to bring him a special surprise after he has recently experienced a number of challenges in his life.
After hearing of how big a Reds fan Rafael is – and the incredible level of service he offers to supporters in the store – Enrique organised some heart-warming videos from Jordan Henderson, Alberto Moreno and Luis Garcia to say thank you for his hard work and commitment.
Craig McKelvie, CEO at Seventy8, said: “The opening of the official Liverpool FC club store in Mirdif City Centre is a proud moment for the team, and we feel that our current plans to continue the brand’s expansion will support the club in aligning its success on the pitch with its commercial activities, and continue our approach of bringing Anfield to Dubai.”
Mike Cox, senior vice-president, merchandising at LFC, said: “We’re delighted to celebrate our new Liverpool FC club store opening in Dubai. The support we feel from our supporters in the UAE is truly incredible and we are committed to bringing Anfield a little closer to them through our stores.”
