On sale nowJoin LFC legends and help raise funds for local charities at Forever Reds' festive fundraiser
Tickets are on sale now for the event, with this year’s three-course Christmas lunch being held in The Beautiful Game hospitality lounge at Anfield, which boasts impressive views of the pitch.
The annual celebration is taking place in a bid to raise funds for the official former players association and local good causes.
During the event, Reds fans will be in the company of former club greats who’ve each played their part in the rich history of footballing success. Joining this year’s celebrations will be Forever Reds chairman John Aldridge, alongside Liverpool’s men’s and women’s record goalscorers Ian Rush and Natasha Dowie, and club-record appearance holder Ian Callaghan.
Aldridge, Forever Reds chairman, said: “We look forward to this event every year, it just keeps getting better and better and really does make a difference. Last season we raised £100,000 with our Christmas Lunch and annual Golf Day, which is brilliant.
“Recently we lost the great Ron Yeats, and it’s for people like him that we created Forever Reds. It’s about supporting our former players who need our help.
“Thank you to all the fans who join us in our events and help us raise funds to support our former players. We look forward to meeting them again at this event.”
There will be Q&As with the former players throughout the lunch, with more special guests to be announced. There will also be a tribute to the late Yeats, who benefited from Forever Reds’ support.
Auction prizes and a special raffle will also be available, with auction prizes including signed LFC merchandise, plus tickets and a travel package to see the Reds away in Europe. Fans will also be able to have photos with the legends and receive a limited-edition LFC keepsake.
The creation of Forever Reds has been driven by the club’s desire to ensure former players always feel part of the LFC family – providing support, involving them in important work in the local community and keeping them informed of new developments.
The event is strictly over-18s and tickets are available to purchase here, with different packages now available.
