AcademyJarell Quansah scores winner as England U19s reach Euros final

Ian Foster's Young Lions came from behind to topple Italy 2-1 at the National Training Centre in Slovakia and earn a place in the showpiece at Trnava Stadium on July 1.

Fabio Miretti opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first half, before substitute Alex Scott levelled the semi-final clash in the second period for England.

Reds centre-back Quansah - who completed the full match in the heart of defence - provided the vital touch for his nation in the latter stages.

The 19-year-old reacted quickest to head home from a corner in the 82nd minute, which secured a place in Friday's final, where England will face Israel.

Fellow Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers was an unused substitute in the encounter, while Academy goalkeeper Harvey Davies wasn't involved.
