NewsJarell Quansah and England through to U20 World Cup last 16
Jarell Quansah started as England qualified for the last 16 of the U20 World Cup with a group game to spare by beating Uruguay 3-2.
Liverpool Academy centre-back Quansah played all of Thursday’s Group E tie in La Plata, Argentina, which was settled by goals from Bashir Humphreys, Alfie Devine and Darko Gyabi.
The Young Lions have now collected six points from their two pool-stage matches and are already assured of their spot in the first knockout round before finishing their Group E fixtures against Iraq on Sunday.
