NewsJamie Carragher set to represent Liverpool again
The legendary former Reds defender, who made 737 appearances for the club and won nine trophies, is the latest great to confirm his participation for the Liverpool FC Legends in the LFC Foundation charity match.
A passionate Scouser who graduated through the Academy, Carragher debuted in January 1997 and spent the next 16 years in the first team at Anfield, making the centre-back position his own and leaving an enviable legacy.
He’ll return to the L4 turf on Saturday March 26 as a team of famous LFC names – including the likes of Daniel Agger, Luis Garcia, Dirk Kuyt, Steve McManaman, Maxi Rodriguez and many more – face Barça Legends in a 3pm GMT kick-off.
Presented by AXA and brought to you in association with Forever Reds – the official LFC former players association – proceeds from the special event at Anfield will go to charitable causes including LFC Foundation, the Barça Foundation, Forever Reds and the Owen McVeigh Foundation.
