NewsJames McConnell signs new long-term contract with Liverpool
The 19-year-old committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on the deal at the AXA Training Centre on Friday.
McConnell, who joined the Reds at U15 level from Sunderland, currently has three senior appearances to his name.
After featuring regularly for Jürgen Klopp's side in pre-season ahead of 2023-24, the midfielder's competitive debut arrived in October when he came off the bench during the Europa League win over Toulouse at Anfield.
A Premier League bow followed the next month with a cameo against Brentford, before another European outing when Liverpool played at Union SG in December.
McConnell was most recently part of the matchday squad for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final with Fulham and has also featured for Barry Lewtas' U21s this season.
The Morpeth-born player signed his first professional contract with the Reds back in September 2021.
