A host of Reds are set to be involved in UEFA Nations League matches.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is part of the England squad for games against Caoimhin Kelleher’s Republic of Ireland in Dublin (September 7) and Finland at Wembley (September 10).
Kelleher and co also host Kostas Tsimikas’ Greece on September 10, with Greece scheduled to play the Finns in Piraeus three days earlier.
Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk will be with the Netherlands for meetings with Bosnia-Herzegovina (September 7) and Germany (September 10), in Eindhoven and Amsterdam respectively.
Diogo Jota’s Portugal take on Croatia in Lisbon on September 5 and, at the same venue three days later, host a Scotland squad featuring Ben Doak and Andy Robertson. The Scots also clash with Poland at Hampden Park on September 5.
Ibrahima Konate has been selected by France for home games against Italy (September 6) and Belgium (September 9), while Dominik Szoboszlai’s Hungary meet Germany in Dusseldorf (September 7) and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Budapest (September 10).
Conor Bradley links up with Northern Ireland, who host Luxembourg in Belfast on September 5 and travel to Plovdiv to face Bulgaria three days later.
On-loan duo Owen Beck and Lewis Koumas are with Wales for a Cardiff clash with Turkiye (September 6) and trip to Montenegro (September 9).
Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah’s Egypt have a pair of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers – against Cape Verde in Cairo on September 6 and then away at Botswana four days later.
Wataru Endo is set to represent Japan as they contest two World Cup qualifying matches, versus China PR in Saitama on September 5 and at Bahrain on September 10.
There are World Cup preliminaries in South America too, with Alisson Becker’s Brazil at home to Ecuador and away at Paraguay in the early hours of September 7 and September 11 respectively.
Alexis Mac Allister is in the Argentina squad for games against Chile (September 6) and then Luis Diaz’s Colombia (September 10), with the latter first facing Peru (September 7).
At youth international level, Harvey Elliott, Tyler Morton and Jarell Quansah have each been called up for England U21s’ fixtures with Northern Ireland (September 6) and Austria (September 9).
On-loan trio Luke Chambers, Kaide Gordon and Calum Scanlon are with the country’s Elite Squad to face Turkiye (September 6) and Romania four days later, while Trey Nyoni links up with the U18s, who meet Portugal, Switzerland and France between September 4 and September 8.
Calvin Ramsay, who is currently on loan at Wigan Athletic, has been chosen by Scotland U21s for games against Spain (September 6) and Malta (September 10).
