Round-upInternationals: Seven LFC Women players in action on Friday

Jenna Clark, Gemma Evans, Marie Höbinger, Ceri Holland and Leanne Kiernan all featured in first-round ties in the qualification play-offs for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, while Taylor Hinds made her senior debut for Jamaica and Olivia Smith represented Canada.

Clark, Höbinger and Kiernan helped their countries to away wins in their respective first legs.

Clark started and finished Scotland’s 1-0 victory over Hungary, Höbinger completed Austria’s 3-0 success in Slovenia and Kiernan came off the bench as the Republic of Ireland – for whom Niamh Fahey was an unused substitute – routed Georgia 6-0.

Evans and Holland, however, were part of the Wales team that lost 2-1 to Slovakia.

Meanwhile, in friendlies, Smith was substituted at half-time of Canada’s 1-1 draw with Spain and Hinds’ Jamaica were defeated 3-0 by France.
