In the UEFA Nations League, Ibrahima Konate started for France in their 3-1 defeat by Italy, while Lewis Koumas - currently on loan at Stoke City - was handed a home competitive debut for Wales as a substitute in their 0-0 draw with Turkiye, with Owen Beck (on loan at Blackburn Rovers) unused from the bench.
In U21 European Championship qualifying, Jarell Quansah was selected in defence and Tyler Morton was an unused substitute for England U21s in a 0-0 draw with Northern Ireland.
Calvin Ramsay - on loan at Wigan Athletic - was involved in Scotland U21s’ 2-1 loss to Spain.
Elsewhere, Luke Chambers started, with Kaide Gordon a second-half introduction and Calum Scanlon an unused substitute as the loan trio were involved in England Elite League Squad’s 1-1 draw with Turkiye.
Trey Nyoni and Carter Pinnington, meanwhile, were unused substitutes in England U18s’ 1-1 draw and subsequent 5-5 penalty draw against Switzerland at the Lafarge Tournament.
