Round-upInternationals: Reds meet in Nations League as six feature on Friday
Six Liverpool FC Women players were involved – and three were on opposite sides – in Friday’s international matches.
In Ried im Innkreis, Marie Höbinger’s Austria claimed a 1-0 victory over a Scotland side featuring both Jenna Clark and on-loan Sam Kerr.
Höbinger started and played 79 minutes of the UEFA Women’s Nations League tie, while the Reds’ Scottish duo each completed the whole game.
Elsewhere in the competition, Gemma Evans and Ceri Holland were in the Wales XI away at Italy. They clocked up 90 and 69 minutes respectively in a 1-0 loss.
At U23 level, Cornelia Kapocs played all of Sweden’s 1-0 defeat by Norway in a friendly.
