Tyler Morton and Jarell Quansah were selected to start for England U21s, helping the Young Lions overcome Austria 4-1 at Luton Town's Kenilworth Road in a friendly meeting.
Morton completed 72 minutes of the contest before his substitution, while Quansah departed from the match with nine minutes remaining on the night.
At senior level, Lewis Koumas, who is spending the campaign on loan at Stoke City, was handed a first start for Wales in a 2-1 away win over Montenegro.
The attacker featured for the first half under new boss Craig Bellamy’s watch, while Owen Beck – who is on loan with Blackburn Rovers – was an unused substitute in the UEFA Nations League meeting.
Elsewhere, Ibrahima Konate was given a watching brief from the bench for France as they defeated Belgium 2-0 also in the Nations League.
