In the same preliminaries, on-loan Calvin Ramsay was a late introduction from the bench for Scotland U21s as they were beaten 2-0 at home to Belgium.

Academy forward Keyrol Figueroa, meanwhile, started as USA U19s claimed a 4-1 friendly win over Sweden.

Trey Nyoni and Carter Pinnington were involved for England U18s in a 2-0 loss against Sweden in Marbella. Pinnington started the game and went on to play 69 minutes, while Nyoni was sent on from the bench just before the hour mark.

And, in the early hours of Saturday in further South American World Cup qualifying, Darwin Nunez completed the full match for Uruguay in a narrow 1-0 defeat by Peru.
