Liverpool defender Koivisto started and played the full game as her country defeated the Philippines 4-0 in a friendly match held in Spain on Wednesday.

And she capped the afternoon with an assist for the third goal of Oona Sevenius’ hat-trick.

On Thursday, Kearns was skipper for England’s U23s as they were beaten 3-1 by Spain at Marbella Football Centre, featuring for 72 minutes.

Reds teammate Hannah Silcock made her debut at the level, too, by entering the action as a substitute at the beginning of the second half.
