Hannah Silcock marked her first start for England women’s U23s with a goal in a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands on Monday.

The Liverpool FC Women defender, who is on loan with Blackburn Rovers this season, opened the scoring in the 37th minute of the European League encounter played in Spain.

Reds teammate Missy Bo Kearns again captained the Young Lionesses, who were denied victory by a goal from Fenna Kalma for the Dutch two minutes into stoppage time.

Both Kearns and Silcock featured for the whole game.
