Reaction'I'm very, very happy' - Luis Diaz after scoring in Colombia's Copa America win
The forward dispatched a penalty in minute 31 to open the scoring in Arizona and put his nation on their way to sealing a spot in the quarter-finals.
Diaz is hoping his goal is the first of many in the tournament as Colombia now eye up securing top spot in Group D.
He told reporters post-match: "[I'm] very, very happy because I was able to score again with the national team.
"We always know that we forwards live on goals and [I'm] very grateful to God for this opportunity and also to my partner for giving me confidence because we were talking about it. I thank God I was able to score the very nice goal."
Colombia have the chance to wrap up first place in their section in the early hours of Wednesday when they come up against Alisson Becker's Brazil, who currently sit second.
"We're always preparing to be number one, we go looking for the win," Diaz continued. "The possibility of being first, obviously we are going in search of that. We are calm, we are preparing well step by step and always with a winning mentality.
"Obviously it's going to be a super-difficult game but not impossible and we know the rival we have in front of us and we have studied it. We are going to go out with everything and come out with those three points hopefully."
