News'I'll never forget your support' - Minamino's farewell to LFC supporters
Minamino completed a transfer from Anfield to Ligue 1 outfit Monaco on Tuesday, bringing an end to his two-and-a-half-year stint on Merseyside.
The Japan international departs Jürgen Klopp’s squad having secured a Premier League winner’s medal, alongside playing a vital role in last season’s Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup success.
Minamino made 55 appearances in total for the Reds, scoring 14 goals while providing three assists as a player Klopp hailed as a ‘dream’ to manage.
The attacker took to social media to thank the club’s supporters for their unwavering backing following the completion of his move.
He wrote: "Dearest LFC supports, I was so happy when I joined the LFC family two and a half years ago, but my time has come to an end.
"I had a fantastic time, and I will never forget the massive support I received from you all at Anfield. I wish you all the best.
"Sayonara, goodbye. YNWA. Taki."
