Pre-match statsHow Mohamed Salah can join Shearer, Henry, Aguero and Kane this weekend
Mohamed Salah is on the brink of becoming only the fifth player in Premier League history to score 20+ goals in five separate seasons.
The No.11 goes in to Liverpool’s away game at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday having netted 19 times in just 22 top-flight appearances so far in 2024-25.
Therefore, if he strikes at Vitality Stadium he will join Alan Shearer (seven times), Thierry Henry (five), Sergio Aguero (six) and Harry Kane (six) in having recorded 20+ goals in five Premier League campaigns.
Salah (176 goals) is also only one behind sixth-placed Frank Lampard and eight adrift of Aguero in fifth in the division’s all-time top scorers list.

Bournemouth (unbeaten in 11) and Liverpool (unbeaten in 18) account for two of the three longest ongoing unbeaten runs in the Premier League (Arsenal also 13 without defeat).
The Reds have failed to score in only one of their 15 Premier League meetings with the Cherries, netting at least three goals in 10 of these 15 games.
Bournemouth earned four points from their first four Premier League games against Liverpool (won one, drew one and lost two), but have since taken just three points, while scoring only three times, in the last 11 meetings (won one, lost 10).

Watch on YouTubeBournemouth (who finished 12th last season) have already beaten Manchester City and Arsenal at Vitality Stadium this season. The last team to win at home against each of the previous campaign’s top three sides – having finished in the bottom half themselves – was Blackburn Rovers in 2005-06.
The Reds have avoided defeat in all 11 of their away Premier League games this season (won eight, drawn three). Only in 1987-88 (15) and 2019-20 (13) have they recorded longer unbeaten starts to top-flight campaigns on the road.
None of the seven Premier League meetings between Bournemouth (two wins) and Liverpool (five wins) at Vitality Stadium have finished in a draw.
The Reds have won 10 of their last 13 Premier League games in the month of February (drawn one, lost two).
The two sides to have the most shots following a high turnover in the Premier League this season are Bournemouth (45) and Liverpool (40).
Liverpool have led at some stage in 30 and scored in 33 of their 35 games across all competitions so far this season.
The Reds have won all 14 Premier League fixtures this term in which they have scored the first goal and have won 23 of 24 such matches in all competitions.
Salah is the highest scorer in the history of this fixture with nine goals in 11 appearances.
Salah is also the only player to score a league hat-trick for Liverpool against Bournemouth, doing so in a 4-0 away victory in December 2018.
Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Salah are the three players who have started all 22 of the Reds’ Premier League games this season.
