Wolverhampton Wanderers visit Anfield on Sunday afternoon for what is the last Premier League outing of the 2021-22 campaign.

Klopp’s charges sit one point behind top-flight leaders Manchester City, who host Aston Villa to wrap up their schedule.

The clash with Wolves could mark a final appearance at Anfield for Origi, eight years after he joined the club from French outfit Lille.

Klopp is expecting a rousing reception for the No.27 in front of the home support, given his vital importance to his team in recent years.

On fans potentially giving players an L4 farewell this weekend, the boss said: “We can only do that with the few we know it definitely.

“I think that is only Div. So, yes, I expect Div to get a special reception, or farewell, or whatever. He is, and will be for me, forever a Liverpool legend [and] one of the most important players I ever had.

“That sounds completely strange with the amount of games he had, but it is, and was, a pure joy to work together with him.

“So, it’s not over yet just because it’s now the last Premier League game and, yes, he deserves all good thoughts we can generate somehow for his future and wherever he will go he will be successful, 100 per cent.

“[He’s] an outstanding player, [an] outstanding boy. Everybody in the team loves him because he was just a relaxed guy and a really lovable guy.

“So, yeah, it will be a harsh moment when he actually leaves. For us, it will not be now, but whenever it will be, it will be hard because since I’m here, Div is here.

“I remember so many things when I think about Div that’s incredible; important goals, injuries... bad injuries, and all these kinds of things - ups and downs. He is a Liverpool legend, no doubt.”
