NewsGala ball raises more than £950,000 for LFC Foundation and Alder Hey

The event took place at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Thursday evening, with more than 500 guests enjoying a night of entertainment and, more importantly, vital fundraising.

Funds raised through the event will support Alder Hey in completing their new neonatal unit, as well as developing LFC Foundation's 'Move' programme for children with respiratory and endocrine conditions.

Liverpool FC legends were on hand to welcome guests and share the evening with them, while a live auction hosted by Charles Hanson helped to raise an incredible amount on the night, before Gary Barlow took to the stage to finish off a special evening.

Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, said: "It was an amazing event and fantastic to have so many people come together to help raise an incredible amount for the two causes.

"These funds will make a huge difference to both LFC Foundation and Alder Hey Children's Hospital, so thank you from all of us to those who donated on the night and everyone who continues to support our work."
