Takumi Minamino out to emulate Robbie Fowler in Preston tie
Takumi Minamino could emulate a goalscoring feat last achieved by Robbie Fowler in Liverpool's Carabao Cup tie against Preston North End tonight.
The Japan international bagged a brace in the 3-0 third-round win at Norwich City and could therefore become the first Reds player to net at least twice in consecutive rounds of the competition since Fowler in 1996.
Overall, Minamino has scored four times in three League Cup appearances for the club.
