Liverpool v Brighton: Team news
Adam Lallana is 'as fit as possible' and may return to action in Liverpool's final Premier League game of the season against Brighton and Hove Albion, but Sadio Mane is a doubt.
Jürgen Klopp suggested during his pre-match press conference that the former, who has not played since sustaining a hamstring injury six weeks ago, could feature at Anfield on Sunday.
Lallana has 'trained normally' for the last week or so, according to the boss.
"The perfect thing now would be to start with minutes; we'll see if we have the opportunity to do that. But [he is] as fit as possible, I would say," Klopp noted.
The manager also confirmed there is 'nothing new' to report in terms of Emre Can's fitness, meaning the No.23 remains unavailable due to a back injury.
But Klopp later revealed a new concern over Mane's condition when he spoke to the national newspapers after his press conference at Melwood on Friday.
"We will see," he said of the Senegal international's chances of facing the Seagulls. "It is not the same injury. It's a fresh problem."
Joe Gomez joined Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) and Joel Matip (thigh) in being sidelined for the rest of the campaign after undergoing ankle surgery earlier in the week.
Brighton's only absentee is Steve Sidwell (back), with Klopp's opposite number Chris Hughton anticipating a testing afternoon against the Reds, who know a point would suffice to secure a top-four finish.
"We will have to defend really well on Sunday at Anfield to get something from the game," said the Seagulls boss.
"Their front three is one of the best in Premier League history. Attacking combinations in the past have generally been about a front two - so to be talking about three is different and they've been outstanding."
