Legends from Liverpool's illustrious past including John Barnes, Alan Kennedy and Paul Walsh put on their boots again in a charity game on Sunday to mark Worcester City's final game at their home of the last 108 years, St George's Lane.

The Reds suffered a shock FA Cup defeat - perhaps their biggest ever - against the non-league outfit in January 1959 - a factor in the departure of manager Phil Taylor and the hiring of a certain Bill Shankly later that year.

A crowd of 2,242 witnessed an entertaining encounter in which Howard Gayle gave the Reds the lead in the second half before the home side stormed back to take it 2-1 thanks to efforts from Pat Lyons and Marc McGregor.
