Postcode Lottery LFC donation
Lucas Leiva accepted a cheque for £40,000 from the People's Postcode Trust at Melwood this week, donated to the LFC Foundation.
Lucas received the cheque from People's Postcode Lottery deputy managing director Lorna Menzies.
He said: "It's very important to help people and it's nice to see Liverpool as a club help communities and young people. I am very happy to be involved."
The donation will go towards the opening of a second Respect 4 All centre in Liverpool in September.
LFC Foundation director Gary Adlen said: "I am delighted we can help with our programmes in Respect 4 All, and this is a fantastic step forward in delivering our second centre.
"The big difference will be to the lives it's going to change and the people and families it will influence in the future.
"We're absolutely delighted we will be able to get another 100 kids with disabilities playing football."
