Recognised as being one of the top 10 per cent of things to do worldwide, the award is based solely on customer reviews and ratings collected over 12 months.
Last year, just under 400,000 people visited Anfield to go on tour behind the scenes of the club. It’s relaunching in time for the start of the busy summer season with a fun-filled calendar of activity for all the family from now until September 1.
New and updated content includes audio guides for younger fans called Kop Kids, insights on the Anfield Road Stand expansion, which has increased the stadium’s capacity to 61,000, plus a Premier League first with new sections on LFC Women, celebrating the incredible achievements and development of the women’s game to date.
Walk in the footsteps of LFC heroes past and present while enjoying free football-themed treasure hunts around the stadium, face painting, football skills sessions, and an array of games and crafting activities.
Meet Mighty Red, the club’s official mascot, who will be making special stadium tour appearances on August 7 and August 21 at select times.
Sammy Lee and Mark Lawrenson will host their first exclusive Legends Q&A sessions on August 10 and August 24 as they reveal personal club memories, dressing room tales and funny anecdotes. Following the 60-minute Q&A, fans will receive a signed souvenir guidebook and a stadium tour.
For those seeking an adrenaline rush, our summer Anfield Abseil offers a thrilling 100ft descent down the side of the Main Stand, one of the largest all-seater single stands in European football. This unique experience is available to visitors over 16 during weekends and weekdays. T&Cs apply.
All the stadium tours and experiences include a visit to the recently relaunched LFC Museum, which retells the club’s story in a brand-new immersive way. As you walk through the interactive displays, you will travel through time, starting with ‘where it all began’ and ending with a tribute to former manager Jürgen Klopp.
As an added extra, each experience includes a free downloadable copy of ‘The Anfield Origins Tour’ – an external tour of the hidden history around Anfield and the stadium, to be enjoyed at your leisure.
