Jota links up with the Reds on the first leg of their USA pre-season tour, having been on a summer break following his participation at Euro 2024 with Portugal.

Slot also revealed Gravenberch and Konate will be the next players to begin pre-season with the group, after they were on international duty with the Netherlands and France respectively.

“Diogo is arriving today I think, so he will have his testing day tomorrow and the day after he will join us in the session,” Slot told a press conference.

“And I think it’s Ibou and Ryan that will join us later in the trip. I don’t think I have forgotten anyone. The rest will start after the trip when we are back in Liverpool.”

Asked specifically about Alisson Becker’s return date, the Liverpool head coach replied: “I think he will start also in Liverpool when we’re back.”
