Harvey Elliott remains a longer-term absentee for the Premier League leaders, for whom Diogo Jota could make a 100th start in the 12.30pm BST kick-off.

“A difficult one for us: 12.30 kick-off after playing on Wednesday evening late in the Champions League, facing again a team that has a whole week to prepare,” added Slot.

“But that is part of working at a top club, that we face those teams and we have to be ready for those teams. And that’s what we are tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Palace head coach Oliver Glasner could hand a debut to defender Trevoh Chalobah, who has been sidelined with an abdominal injury after arriving on loan from Chelsea.

Glasner, however, remains unable to call upon Cheick Doucoure, Matheus Franca, Chadi Riad and Chris Richards.

The Austrian told reporters: “[Chalobah] has had one more training week with us. Every training session is good for him to get to his best shape, and he has looked quite good this week.

“He is coming closer to start and it’s good for us that we get more options, so let’s see what happens tomorrow.

“No-one else is back, but no-one else is out, so it is still the squad. Then let’s see what happens during the international break.”
