By Glenn Price
Luis Diaz's nation had already qualified for the last eight heading into the encounter but the point clinched first place for them in Group D.
Both Liverpool players started the match in sweltering Santa Clara as Brazil struck first through Raphinha after 12 minutes.
Daniel Munoz then equalised for Colombia in first-half stoppage time, with Diaz withdrawn in minute 89.
Colombia will now meet Panama on Saturday night, while Brazil face Darwin Nunez and Uruguay in the early hours of Sunday.
