NewsConor Bradley 'absolutely buzzing' with first international goal
The Liverpool right-back provided the decisive moment of his country’s 1-0 win over Scotland in a friendly at Hampden Park.
Striking from the left edge of the box, Bradley found the top right corner via a deflection to open his international account.
“I’m absolutely buzzing,” the 20-year-old told BBC Sport post-match.
“I don’t think I could even dream it would go the way it did. To get a 1-0 win, it’s fantastic, a great night all round.
“I was just hoping it would go in and I was buzzing when I’ve seen it go in the top corner. I don’t even know what happened after that.”
Bradley is, of course, enjoying a breakout season for the Reds, having totalled 18 appearances, one goal and six assists for his club in 2023-24 so far.
Tuesday’s outing in Glasgow was his 15th for Northern Ireland, meanwhile, and he was able to reflect on a positive evening for his nation.
“I think we still have lots of places to improve, but that was a great performance,” he added.
“I think at times we could have been a bit better on the ball. [But] to defend the way we did for the 90 minutes and keep a clean sheet here at Hampden, obviously Scotland are going to the Euros and they are a great side full of Premier League players, it is just brilliant.”
