NewsChampions League: Liverpool's possible opponents in league phase confirmed
The Reds will learn their eight opponents in the competition's new format during Thursday's draw, which is scheduled to begin from 5pm BST.
The 36 teams in the league phase will be seeded for the draw in Monte Carlo based on their UEFA club coefficients.
Arne Slot's men, who are in pot one, will be drawn against two sides from each of the four pots, with one to be faced at Anfield and another away from home.
They cannot meet a fellow Premier League club and can only be paired with a maximum of two teams from the same country.
Possible opponents
Pot one: Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Internazionale, Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig, Real Madrid.
Pot two: AC Milan, Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, Club Brugge, Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk.
Pot three: Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb, Feyenoord, Lille, PSV Eindhoven, Red Bull Salzburg, Red Star Belgrade, Sporting CP, Young Boys.
Pot four: Bologna, Brest, Girona, Monaco, Slovan Bratislava, Sparta Prague, Sturm Graz, Stuttgart.
