CommunityCadbury helps local community cook up a treat

The Reds’ official global snacking partner has donated limited-edition Dairy Milk bars to community groups and businesses across Red Neighbours’ network in Anfield and Kirkby for use in the challenge.

Each group will be tasked with producing the most creative and original LFC-themed cake, sweet treat or recipe using the Dairy Milk bars, with the shortlisted entries put to fans to vote for the overall winner.

Participants will then be able to use the LFC creations and any remaining limited-edition Dairy Milk bars as they wish, such as to produce additional goods for sale in their café, as a treat for service users or as part of long-awaited social get-togethers.

The winning team will also receive two tickets to the Reds’ first home Premier League game of the season – against Burnley on Saturday August 21 – donated by Cadbury.

Since the launch of their partnership in August 2020, Cadbury and the club have worked together to support the local community through various initiatives, including LFC Foundation’s Virtual Employability Programme and Cadbury’s Secret Santa campaign.

Nick Rogers, senior brand manager at Cadbury, said: “LFC and Cadbury are both passionate about the importance of community, we wanted to bring people together to take part in a fun and creative challenge.

“We hope the groups enjoy getting together to come up with their creations and look forward to seeing the final bakes.”

Participants will have until Sunday August 8 to submit photographs of their final creations, with fans able to vote for their favourite via Liverpoolfc.com from Tuesday August 10.
